Travel Note
Please note that Chicago is on Central Standard Time while South Bend/ the University of Notre Dame is on Eastern Standard Time. This means that you lose an hour traveling from Chicago into South Bend. For example, a plane landing at 11:00 am Chicago time would be landing at 12:00 pm South Bend time. Please plan any Saturday travel plans accordingly.

Hotel
A short 5 minute walk from Aloft, the Courtyard Marriott is a slightly cheaper (but still very nice) hotel option!
Flight
The closest airport to South Bend/the University of Notre Dame is South Bend International Airport. Once you arrive to SBN, you can either rent a car or Uber to your hotel.
Flight
Sometimes, flying into Chicago airports can be significantly cheaper than flying into South Bend. Both O'Hare and Midway are great options to fly into. Once arriving to Chicago, you can either rent a car and drive out to Notre Dame or take public transportation/uber to downtown Chicago where you can catch the South Shore Line, Amtrak, or a Greyhound/Megabus to South Bend International Airport! From experience, if taking public transportation, I would budget at least 3.5 hours of time to get from O'Hare to South Bend and at least 3 hours to get from Midway to South Bend. If renting a car, I would budget at least 2.5 hours of time to get from O'Hare to South Bend and at least 2 hours to get from Midway to South Bend. Important Note - Chicago is on Central Time Zone and is 1 hour behind South Bend, which is on Eastern Time Zone. So a plane landing at 12:00 pm Chicago time is landing at 1:00 pm South Bend time.
Train
A great option for our guests flying into Chicago is the South Shore Line, which will pick you up at Millennium Station in downtown Chicago and drop you off at the South Bend International Airport!
