Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 15th, 2025.

Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We ask that you please wear cocktail attire to the ceremony and reception. For men, please wear a suit or sport coat. For ladies, please wear a cocktail length dress or dressy jumpsuit. Please avoid wearing any white (including floral patterns on a white background), and please be mindful of the weather. Temperatures in South Bend in July can range from 70-90 degrees.

Question

Are my children invited and can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you have children or plus ones listed on the invitation, then yes, they are welcome to come! However, while we would love to invite everyone's children and give everyone a plus one, we are unfortunately only able to invite a small number due to cost constraints. If no children or plus ones are listed on your invitation or included in your RSVP group, we ask that you please do not add them or bring them to the wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to the Basilica by 2:50 pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:00 pm.

Question

When will pictures be and who all will be included in them?

Answer

Group pictures will take place after the ceremony. We would like to take a large group photo on the front steps of the main building at approximately 4:30 pm.

Question

What is the easiest way to and from your wedding from hotels in downtown South Bend?

Answer

Driving/renting a car is definitely the easiest way to get from the hotels in downtown South Bend to Notre Dame’s campus. However, there is also a city bus (https://sbtranspo.com/routes-and-fares/ - the route is the Notre Dame/UP Mall route) and Ubers/Lyfts are generally available as well.

Question

Will there be parking available near the reception or the basilica?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available near both the reception and the basilica. For Basilica parking, please enter at the main gatehouse (located south of the University of Notre Dame bookstore) and drive to Lot A9, located behind the Basilica. Alternatively, many of the non-gated lots are open to the public for parking on Saturdays. We recommend parking in the Lake Lot for ease of access to the Basilica and a quick drive to downtown South Bend for the reception. For Reception parking, you can park either in the parking garage located 213 W Washington St Garage (the Aloft Parking Garage) or at a variety of other parking garages located around the hotel.

Question

Do you have any Friday dinner/Saturday lunch recommendations for guests coming in from out of town?

Answer

If you are coming into town Friday and are looking for a place to dine either Friday night or Saturday for lunch, we recommend that you go to: - Evil Czech Brewery (3703 N Main St, Mishawaka, IN 46545) - Fiddler’s Hearth (127 N Main St, South Bend, IN 46601) - Chicory Cafe (105 E Jefferson Blvd #103, South Bend, IN 46601) - Tippecanoe Place Restaurant (620 W Washington St, South Bend, IN 46601) - Parisi's Ristorante Italiano (1412 S Bend Ave, South Bend, IN 46617) - Barnaby’s Mishawaka (3724 Grape Rd, Mishawaka, IN 46545)
