We're getting married!

My memory of my first time seeing Tyler, and even the days leading up to it, still bring me butterflies haha! It was July 2015. I started a gym membership at Planet Fitness, as my rec membership had recently ended. I was starting to get comfortable in my new routine, until one day-BAM! I walked in and saw Tyler at the front desk. I think I actually stopped breathing for a second haha 😂. I couldn’t believe how attractive he was! So naturally, I avoided eye-contact and ran straight to the locker room! I avoided him throughout my entire workout, then continued to avoid him for the next two weeks. He was just too cute for me to talk to! So instead I creepily watched him from behind whatever cardio equiptment I was on 🤣. And then I would go home and tell everyone about the “cute guy at the gym.” Eventually, I guess he decided it was time to break the ice with the weird girl who kept running at the sight of him! I could tell when he talked to me that he liked me. You’d think that would make me relax some. Nope! I continued to avoid him as much as possible until one day, he asked me to run WITH him. I blurted out, “I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!” He looked at me funny and kind of laughed and said, “I just asked if you wanted to run? I have a girlfriend.” I was mortified, said, “Oh. Well, I don’t know.” He went about his business and started to leave for his run. I then changed my mind and chased him out the door! From that moment on, our relationship grew from friends, to best friends, and continued to grow into the greatest love of our lives. We now have the most beautful little boy in the world and as he grows, so does our love for him and eachother.

I remember the first time I saw Isabella. It was 2015, on a late July afternoon. I had just started my afternoon shift at the Planet Fitness in Tuscaloosa, AL. At that time, I was working behind the counter. I'm typically a smooth conversation starter, especially at work. Well...she walked through those gym doors and I couldn't speak. It took everything in me not to stare in shock at how beautiful she was, even if she was just in gym clothes. When we made eye contact, I felt a supernatural euphoria and an immediate connection. I was so drawn to her. I remember turning to my boss and saying, “Wow, that’s the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I have to get to know her.” Cliche or not it’s true. Her last name was one I'd never heard of. I jokingly code-named her "Maserati" for her elegant, yet still athletic frame (I didn't know she was Italian yet, it must've been fate!). Fast forward through some shy hellos and small talk and we finally had our first real conversation. We began talking about our future plans. Little did she know, I was already trying to make her a part of mine- and I was terrified of butchering it. I could tell there was chemistry early on, but you still fear rejection when you greatly admire someone. Eventually, I worked up the nerve to ask her to go for a run with me. She initially said, "No, I have a boyfriend." I was bummed, but I understood. I left the gym and was about to start my run when all of the sudden, she busted out of the gym door! She had decided to come with me. I was elated, but worked my hardest to play it cool haha! We immediately formed a bond and I knew she was who I wanted to crush life with. I never wanted that run to end. Thankfully, we are still running through life together in full stride. She's my best friend and I could not be more thankful for her.
