Both residents of the 2nd floor of Craige Dorm at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Tar Heels!), we met outside of our dorm the first day after move in at UNC! While we weren’t ready for each other at the time, we couldn’t have met at a more perfect moment — and for Sammy, it was love at first site!

Max took Sammy to their first date at Spanky’s Restaurant on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, NC before bringing her to his fraternity’s (Delta Sigma Phi) Bid Night Cocktail for the newest members! They ate, they danced, and they began to write the next chapter of their eventful story!

After graduating from UNC together, Sammy moved out to Los Angeles to pursue a dance and personal training career. And after a few quick months, Max was on a plane to join her! They built their life together as adults in LA, growing in their love for each other (and for great wine!) and in their separate careers.

8 years (and 1 day) after they made their relationship “official”, Max got down on one knee and asked Sammy to marry him. To no one’s surprise... she said “YES!” And now they’re in the thick of their engagement and prepping for the special day!
