We met through a dating website in late 2020 when the world slowly started opening back up. Our first date wound up lasting 5 hours because the conversation was electric. After that date, the rest was history. We’ve been together ever since.

Matt proposed during a fancy steak dinner at Perry’s when we were enjoying the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. In the middle of the delicious dinner, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Already crying and emotional, when Halley looked at the ring, she realized it was a family ring from her grandmother and aunt. It was an incredible moment full of many happy tears and of course the answer was yes!
