Mark and Jen met at the infamous Sig Ep house. It seemed like fate and mutual friends were to blame for the two of them coming together. Jen had only recently heard about Mark the day before she met him. After stalking him on Facebook, it was ironic she would run into him less than 24 hours later. The two became very close when they realized they kept receiving free food for all of the dates. (This is a true story - the first 3 dates involved free food in some way shape or form.) They both realized they had found their good luck charm and haven't left each other's side since in hopes of continuing to find free food.

The Proposal

Mark moved out to Colorado directly following graduation in May of 2018. Jen hadn't followed him (yet) and the two found themselves lonely and the long-distance dating hard. Mark knew something had to change. In November of 2018, Jen flew out to visit Mark over a long holiday from work. Although Mark had kept pretending he still needed ring ideas, he secretly had the most precious engagement ring stuffed into his coat jacket. While walking around Estes Park (on the way to an antique ring store because Mark "needed more ideas" from Jen) Mark started slowing down on the snowy path. Jen was confused, cold, and a little annoyed because she was freezing. Mark displayed a strange, funny, yet cute look on his face and Jen had to ask... "Did you just fart?" After regaining composure from laughing, Mark got down on one knee and the rest is history.
