Marisa was a travel nurse on assignment in Wichita, Kansas. Blake was in graduate school at Wichita State University to become an Audiologist. Blake took Marisa on their first date to an ice cream place called 8 Below. They sat there talking and laughing for a few hours until the owner kicked them out. Their second date was when Marisa knew Blake was something special. He had her at " What would you like on YOUR pizza?" Marisa's very own pizza! It was love!

Blake planned a trip for Marisa and him over spring break to Las Vegas, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon. He had planned for the two of them to hike to the top of Angels Landing, which happens to be one of the most dangerous hikes in the United States. At the very top was the most breathtaking view, and he asked Marisa to take a picture with him by the edge. Marisa fought him on it for a minute like always and then finally agreed. With hundreds of people watching, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together!

We are working closely with our venue, and although we will continue to monitor the situation we are still looking forward to celebrating our September wedding as scheduled. Please RSVP and book your accommodations as you normally would, but check first for a lenient cancellation policy, which most hotels and airlines are happy to provide in light of current events.
