Casey and Mara met in 7th grade, back in 2011. They always ran around in the same friend groups but never really spent any time together until sophomore year of high school, when Mara moved next door to Casey (although, Casey claims he had a crush on Mara since he met her in 7th grade). Junior year, Casey and Mara were in spanish class together, where they became the best of friends! Come senior year, their moms arranged for them to carpool to school together, since they lived next door to one another. That's when they both started to have crushes on each other! Their first date was at Disneyland on October 29, 2016, and Casey asked Mara to be his girlfriend after the car ride home from school on February 6, 2017! Since then, they loved and supported each other through 4 years of college, 7 seasons of baseball, one masters degree, one Disney College Program, a 3 year physical therapy program, and many part time jobs. Casey proposed to Mara on March 15, 2024 on Balboa beach where they first said "I Love You" and were given a beautiful double rainbow as a backdrop!
