Our First Day: May 15, 2012 Our "Yes" Day: December 25, 2023 Our Best Day: May 15, 2026 It was the summer of 2009, Mae was working her shift at Zippy's when Matt walked into the restaurant. He was a new employee and it was his first day. Mae asked if he was new and assisted him to make his way to the back where she introduced him to everyone. They hung out here and there but both had no intentions or feelings for each other. Mae eventually graduated high school and moved to California for college. She returned for the summer and Matt had texted her to hangout. Before she returned to California, Mae had agreed to hangout. They kept in touch while she was in California and for a whole year they were in the "talking" phase of their relationship. Nothing serious, no strings attached, no title to what they were. They Skype'd most nights, even with the time difference. Mae eventually moved back to Hawaii where she continued her schooling. May 15, 2012, Matt asked Mae on a date in where he also asked her to officially be his girlfriend. And here we are waiting for their wedding day!
