How We Met

11-10-2019

We met because we were in the wedding party of our two good friends, Darby and Johnathon Kovarcik. Ironically, our first impressions of each other were not good. Johnathon kept trying to talk us up to each other, but we were having none of it! We ended up being partners for the grand march (a dance where all the wedding guests are coupled up), and by the time the song finished sparks were flying! A little too much champagne led to a kiss that night, and we were inseparable the entire next day while we helped the families clean up the wedding aftermath. When Kenton finally left to drive home he told himself "I am going to marry that woman!" and Madison turned to her friend Shelby and said "uhhh I think he's my future husband . . . "

Change of Plans

03/21/2020

With everything going on with COVID-19 and in order to help keep everyone safe and healthy, we have decided to move our “wedding” to March 20, 2021. The reason I am using quotes around wedding is because we are going to go ahead and get married next weekend, 03/28/2020, with just our immediate family and our pastor! With the courts possibly closing, everything being uncertain, and no reason to really wait we have decided to get married sooner rather than later. We are so extremely excited! Clark and I can’t wait to move into our new house and be our own little family! We ask for everyone to please keep us in your prayers and thoughts as this is a huge moment in our lives. March 20, 2021 will now be a celebration of our marriage, because by then we will almost have a year of marriage under our belts. We still want to have some sort of ceremony, but it will be more of a vow renewal. We want to have everyone we love together to celebrate Kenton and I joining our lives together, and hope each of you will be able to make the new date. We will be clearing our RSVP’s so that people can now RSVP for the new date. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused as we know people have made plans, booked flights, and moved things around in order to celebrate our wedding . . . but we hope by making this decision now and not closer to the date it will allow y’all to make the necessary changes. Regarding the hotel block at Cavalry Court, they have cancelled all reservations in the block. Our travel page has our updated block information so you can make a new reservation. Please stay safe and healthy, you are all very important to us! Love, Madison and Kenton
