Every love story has a beginning — ours just happened to start in a college dorm, with two people who had no idea they’d one day be planning a wedding together. Over the years, we’ve grown through long distance, new jobs, new cities, and every life season in between. This is the story of how we met, fell in love, built a life together, and now, how we’re getting ready to celebrate that journey with all of you. We’re so excited to share a little of our history here — and even more excited to create new memories with you on our big day.

Bannon and Madisen started off as "just friends". They lived in the dorms together and quickly shared the same joy for going on adventures during the weekend and exploring Oregon. What started as a casual friendship turned into something much more meaningful.

By junior year, things started to shift. Madisen began going to house dances with Bannon, and what was once just friendship quickly became something more. They started dating — and from there, things just clicked. Their connection deepened, and their relationship became a central part of their college experience.

Senior year came with unexpected challenges as they graduated during COVID. Unsure of what the future would hold, they made the best of it. Bannon’s family hosted a makeshift graduation in Florida, and shortly after, with the help of close friends Kira, Madeline, and Madi; Bannon planned a surprise pinning ceremony — a final celebration and sendoff before they all went their separate ways. (Yes, we know… we weren’t supposed to, but we were graduating.)

Post-college, Bannon stayed in Oregon for work, and Madisen moved back to the Bay Area to live with her best friend and be close to family. While long distance isn’t always easy, they made it work — visiting each other often and never questioning the strength of their relationship. Despite the miles, loving each other came naturally.

After nearly three years of long distance, they knew it was time to build a life together. Madisen found a remote job that allowed her to move to Oregon, and Bannon flew down to help pack up her life for their next adventure. Leaving home was bittersweet, but they couldn’t have been more excited to finally live under one roof.

Not long after, they welcomed a new addition to their little family — Howard (or Howie, as most know him). He quickly became the center of their world and a favorite among friends and family. The three of them continue to visit the Bay Area and Blakely Island to spend quality time with loved ones, and it's safe to say it’s become one of Howies' (much like Bannons') favorite places.

In March of 2025, after over seven years together, Bannon proposed during a trip to Amsterdam. He found the perfect rooftop spot and popped the question on a day that couldn’t have been more beautiful. They celebrated that night at Tammy, Porter, and Ollie’s house — an evening full of love and joy, and one they’ll never forget.

Over the last eight years, we’ve built strong friendships, traveled to visit family, and navigated life as a team. While it’s taken some time to get to this moment, we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate it surrounded by all the people we love. You each mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter with you by our side. Here's to love, laughter, and jumping headfirst into the rest of our lives together.
