Aidan and Maddy first met in the fall of 2021 at the Food Zoo, where casual conversations at work quickly turned into long talks after hours. By November of that year, they officially began dating—and their days were soon filled with endless laughter, adventures, and love. In May 2022, they faced their first challenge: eight long months of long distance. At first, they were only a few hours apart and made every effort to see each other whenever possible. But when Maddy moved abroad in August, their constant conversations turned into precious one-hour calls each day. In December 2022, Aidan flew to Europe, and they rang in the New Year traveling with friends—a trip that reminded them how special their connection truly was. Back in the U.S., they made the most of every moment together, spending the spring of 2023 exploring with friends and the summer of 2023 adventuring through National Parks and new states. By September 2023, Maddy moved back to California, beginning another stretch of long distance. When their two-year anniversary arrived, they realized that more than half their relationship had been spent miles apart—but their bond had only grown stronger. In April 2024, Maddy accepted a job in Washington, D.C., and by June, Aidan joined her. They finally began their next chapter—together. Not long after, Maddy somehow convinced Aidan to adopt a cat… and they came home with two! Oliver and Midnight quickly filled their apartment (and hearts) with love, laughter, and a little chaos. They celebrated their three-year anniversary in their first apartment together, and in April 2025, they embarked on their second international trip. Just days later, came a moment they’ll never forget: on April 19th, 2025, surrounded by the beauty of Vizcaya Gardens in Miami, Aidan proposed to Maddy.
