Things to Know (FAQs)

Find some common questions about logistics and the weekend. If you can't find what you're looking for, send us an email: dopirakandlinden@gmail.com
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No! We want you to be comfortable so we'd recommend "smart casual" dress. Things to consider when picking out your fab outfit: we'll be outside for most of the day, you may need to walk on grass (aka watch out for those 6 inch heels), and we'll be eating from food trucks so it may get a bit messy (we'll have plenty of napkins & clean up stations but wouldn't recommend wearing your best tux)

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is parking right in front of the venue. We'll also be offering a shuttle back and forth between the Fairfield Inn & Suites and the venue that we hope you take advantage of - check out the "Travel" tab for more information

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Bleu Barn food truck will be serving up "farm to truck" dishes - they're awesome and have great options for every palette. Our entree options will be: Farm House Burger Chicken Burger Seasonal Chicken Tacos Peruvian Pork Belly Tacos French Onion Grilled Cheese Seasonal Veggie Wrap Farmers Market Salad BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese Bowl Find great photos on their website: https://bleubarnbistro.com/

Question

Can my kids come?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, consider this event your weekend off! Due to safety concerns related to the venue layout (there is an uncovered pool and unsupervised pond) and limited venue capacity, children are asked to stay home. We apologize if this causes an inconvenience and totally understand if this prohibits you from attending our wedding - we'll celebrate next time!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We'd love you to join us for pre-ceremony cocktails starting at 4pm. Otherwise, please plan to arrive in advance of the ceremony, which starts at 4:30pm.

Question

Elephant in the room... what's the deal with COVID?

Answer

We have decided to move forward with holding our May wedding and encourage every guest to take every health precaution that makes them feel the most comfortable. All festivities will be outside (except bathrooms) and we will have personal hand sanitizers available for everyone. Guests will be spaced out at dining tables and during the ceremony as much as possible. Masks will not be required in open / outdoor spaces but we certainly encourage you to wear one if that makes you feel most comfortable and safe! As always, please reach out if there is anything we can do to help accommodate any particular precautions that you'd like to take!
