Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO)
The Rome airport is the international hub for flights from the States. We highly recommend starting your trip in this beautiful and historic city if you have the time. Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR)
FLR is about a 20-30 minute ride to the Metropolitan City of Florence. The T2 Tram is the cheapest and most convenient option and goes directly to the Santa Maria Novella station, the central hub. The tram runs every 5-10 minutes from 5am to late at night. Purchase a €1.70 ticket using the link below. Volainbus Shuttle, Taxi, Uber and Private Transfer are other great options. No nonstops are available from The States for FLR, you should expect at least 1 stop outside of the US.

Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP)
If you choose to fly into Milan there is a scenic, high speed train to Florence. From MXP to Florence S. M. Novella, the main station in the heart of Florence, the ride is about 3.5 hours with one train change. From Milano Centrale, the main station in the heart of Milan, the ride is about 2 hours. Lyfts are not available in Florence, only Uber, but they can be more expensive than standard taxis. We highly recommend downloading the app, "appTaxi" BEFORE traveling as the app may not function properly with a US number while in Italy.
