Alan and I met in 2005 at our hometown fair. My sisters boyfriend, Richard introduced us as we waited to get on a ride. After that day, we became friends and started dating in 2007. Since then, we have been blessed to have grown up together and become a part of each others families. In 2021 we started a family of our own, and welcomed our son, Leonel Torres into the world. That same year on our dating anniversary, Alan proposed.

On the anniversary of when we started dating, we made a trip to a pumpkin patch with our son, Leo. We went through the different stations, took a few pictures, then Alan suggested we take a break and sit on the stacks of hay. Alan asked Leo, “Should we give mom her anniversary gift now?” I had no idea what it could be. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. I imagined it would be small earrings or a necklace. He opened the box and smiled. I know a few words were exchanged, but I cannot recall exactly what was said. I gave him my hand as Leo helped his dad put the ring on my finger. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Cancún!
