Thank You

Thank you so much for being part of this special day with us. Your company, gifts and wishes helped us make the wedding day an occasion we will always remember. A massive thank you to the entire wedding team who helped bring this wedding together, we deeply appreciate the support you've provided. We would like to share some favorite moments, but honestly there were too many to count. From the moment the groom had to drive back home to pick up the bride's shoes, to the karaoke party in the party bus, to the moment when Anna said her vows in Dutch or the moment the groom raised the wrong hand for the ring exchange, to the personalized introductions of the wedding party at the reception, to the dancefloor party and group hug conclusion at the end, to the karaoke afterparty at our house and the late night therapy sessions. Thank you all for making it so memorable. The wedding ceremony livestream can be rewatched at the following Youtube link: https://youtu.be/x2WogKc3jZ4 Feel free to share any videos or pictures you have of the wedding day with myself or Anna, or to our e-mail: annajeunfaiwedding@gmail.com Pictures and videos of the wedding are being edited and will be shared as soon as they become available, stay tuned! Lots of love, Anna & Jeunfai

How We Met

09/08/2013

We first met online on a game called Runescape! From strangers in the online world to penpals writing occasional messages to each other on Facebook, we eventually began chatting everyday over Skype. Years later, we physically met for the first time when he flew over to Portland to meet me. We were excited and had planned an entire road trip together! Unfortunately, we ended up cancelling that... but despite that, we hit it off and the chemistry was just right. - Anna On a whim, I pitched the idea of flying over to Portland to meet her. She agreed and things just took off from the moment I landed! - Jeunfai

The Proposal

01/30/2019

Near the end of his visit in January 2019, I had given up on the thought of him proposing. We decided to go visit our friends in Corvallis for the weekend and he was acting a bit strange. I noticed him turning his phone slightly away from me when texting and acting more secretive. He had never done this in the past so it caught my attention. At one point, he disappeared for short period of time into our friend's backyard. Things seemed a bit out of the ordinary and I wasn't sure why. I didn't think to question him because I figured what's there to be suspicious about anyways? Typically, when he would come to visit, I would never get to sleep in because he would want to maximize all of our time together with activities. A few days before he was set to go home, I had overslept and woken up later than usual. I quickly climbed out of bed and went to find him. He told me to go back to sleep and take it easy. So... I went back to sleep. Once I was finally awake, he suggested we grab brunch at a spot in southeast Portland and asked that I dress nice for no reason! As we were driving to the restaurant, he started asking about the very first park I took him to visit in Portland and said he wanted to go there. I had no idea why he wanted to visit Council Crest park on this particular day but after brunch, I took him there anyways. I was so clueless of his intentions until we stood right there in the center of the park's lookout. He grasped my hands and gave the sweetest speech. I was so stunned and shocked with what was about to happen. He took a knee and asked the question "will you marry me?" I replied "Yes" beyond excitement with tears of joy. - Anna

End to Long Distance

01/05/2022

After a difficult two years of travel ban during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeunfai officially immigrated to the USA on January 5th, 2022! Putting an end to an eight year long distance journey. Finally our great adventure together is about to begin, and no better way to celebrate this than at our wedding with all of you!
