We're Getting Married!

We met for the first time right when we moved into the freshman year dorms at UC Davis. We didn't truly become friends, though, until we both joined the same intramural inner tube waterpolo team. After that, we stayed friends and even lived together senior year of college (with 6 other people of course).

If anyone asks us how we started dating, we will both say without hesitation that it began when we went skydiving together. We were supposed to go with a group of friends, but everyone else bailed on us. Once we got back, our friends joked that we eloped in the sky. We really did not begin dating for about 6 months after that, though. We aren't truly sure how we actually started, but we think skydiving must have played a part!

We went on an impromptu trip to Europe in August 2024. We both had some free time from work, and decided that it was a great time to go (+ plane tickets were super cheap)! By complete accident, we planned it where we would be in Paris on our anniversary. After getting dinner with some friends that live in the city, we went to the Eiffel Tower to watch it sparkle, as it does on the hour. Our friends told us that they would take a picture of us when it was sparkling, and we somehow managed to find the perfect, secluded spot. When the Eiffel Tower started to sparkle, Bailey got down on one knee. It couldn't have been any better!
