So how did we meet? It all started with a photo. Ben was into photography and really enjoyed catching sunrises and sunsets. I’m a photo aficionado as well and love being outdoors. Whilst in New York, Ben happened to capture a stunning photo of Warwick bethel in the evening. A friend shared this photo on Instagram and many people loved the photo...including me. After he replied to my comment👉🏽 “oh so gorgeous my brother🙌🏼”, I decided to message him. I asked if he was a photographer. “No, I just do this as a hobby😅😁” he said. Despite the language barrier, we had a really nice conversation. He used “lol” which I found funny. Overtime our conversations got longer and longer. Eventually we decided that we wanted to meet but we were from different countries. I was all the way in Florida and he was in Toronto. We decided that both our families would meet at Niagara Falls (USA). Despite the drizzling rain and cool breeze, we were finally able to meet each other in person. I think he was more nervous than me aha. The fall leaves were beautiful and of course...we took lots of photos together with our families. Fast forward a few months later... we both decided to pioneer together in Florida during the summer. Seeing both of us working together in the field ministry really strengthened our love for each other and Jehovah. We were also able to volunteer for the “love never fails” convention. Working alongside one another brought us joy and having the opportunity to attend the 2019 international convention in Atlanta together was such a wonderful experience! We got engaged the following year in February. Being far away from each other has been difficult to cope with, especially with the recent global pandemic. But being able to FaceTime each other and read/study together has really helped the two of us. Now we eagerly look forward to our wedding day where we will finally be able to start a new chapter in our lives.
