Question

How is COVID - 19 being handled?

Answer

We would love to spend our special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. We hope you can join us, but we know that health and safety comes first. We will be following all State and CDC guidelines, (including masks and hand sanitizer) . Hopefully by the wedding day our guests will have been vaccinated. If not, we encourage guests to get a COVID-19 test 72 hours before the wedding. If for any reason you feel unwell or uncomfortable attending, please let us know. We won't take it personally! Promise! You're our favorite people, and we wanna keep you around for awhile.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We know it isn't always easy to find child care, so we appreciate you making arrangements in advance. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please feel free to contact us directly.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Late summer can be delightful with the ocean breezes helping keep the humid temps in control. Evening temperatures can be cool and may require a light sweater. And a pop up thunderstorm is not uncommon, so you may want to include an umbrella in your bag. Summers average high temperatures in late August are around 80° F and overnight lows around 65° F.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

This is a formal wedding, but above all we want all of our guests to be themselves, feel comfortable, and have fun.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at the Canoe Club Ballroom. 2 South St, West Bridgewater, MA 02379

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is scheduled to be outdoors unless it rains, then the venue staff will move it inside. The reception will be indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour.  Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving hors d'oeuvres and beverages.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We do ask that no pictures are taken by guests during the ceremony so our photographers can capture their photos without distraction. After the ceremony, we encourage guests to take and post pictures on to their social media accounts, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #whenlifegivesyoulipmans so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

We tried our best to accommodate those with significant others. Guests will be specified on formal invitations.
