Hopland
Hop on down to Hopland! This quaint little town has a lot to offer! Visit the restored Victorian Thatcher Hotel for a drink and a real shinning moment. Hopland also features a couple laid back farm to table restaurants that won't break the bank, antique store galore, and wineries you can unwind in.
Hendy Woods State Park
Peaceful stroll in an old redwood grove! 80 acres of ancient red woods! Everything around here is beyond beautiful. Perfect for a hike, or a picnic.
Russian River
The magnificent Russian River flows through Mendocino and Sonoma counties, with swimming holes and put ins for paddlers just south of Hopland. Take in the breathtaking site of Frog Woman Rock, a volcanic monolith and California Historic Landmark in the Russian River Canyon.
City of Ten Thousand Buddhas
This cult classic buddhist monastery is definitely worth checking out. The Jyun Kang Vegetarian Restaurant on site is YUM! Read up on the history of this place, it is fascinating.
Grace Hudson Museum-Sun House
Highlighting contemporary, historical, and native art, the museum’s permanent collection celebrates Pomo culture and basketry as well as the art of Grace Carpenter Hudson.
Orr Hot Springs Resort
If you want to extend your stay, slip into this hippy oasis. Tranquil, clothing-optional hot springs at the headwaters of Big River, settled deep in the rolling hills of the Mendocino Coastal Range. Available for day use, and accommodates overnight lodging. Fills up fast, and is a bit pricey.
