Katie Kammann

Maid of Honor

Katie and I met in middle school, but we didn't become actual friends until high school when she found me slightly more tolerable than her previous best friend; And because I am slightly more tolerable is maybe why she's decided to keep me around all this time. From the good ol' days of "missing my bus" and her mom getting mad and wondering about the mattress in Mt. Hood Theater, to a more relaxed time now of delighting in eating good food and getting excited about how cute cats are, it's truly been an awesome friendship. She is always one day older and one day smarter than me, and has helped me through so much in my life even though it's been quoted she has a "heart of blackness"; sorry I just don't see it! She has been the common sense I've needed, and I'm the...well I'm something!

Best Man

Penny FitzMaurice

Maid of Honor

Penny and I met in culinary school where we were in the baking and pastry program together. We instantly bonded over me complaining how loud her salad was, and were pretty inseparable after that. We discovered we pretty much loved all the best things only the coolest people like: vampire weekend, domo, pretty prom dresses, drinking beer in parking lots, using slang words to win in scrabble (I won't say what they are), Will Ferrell, good tequila, and that we both hated tilapia water. Her parents live in Rockaway Beach and while we did go visit them many times, she would occasionally spend holidays with my family and have to put up with their silly antics, but also came to know my Grandma Sigrid well enough to the point where she was her granddaughter too. She'll always be family to me.

Stephanie Russell

Bridesmaid

Stephanie and I met at Lowe's where unfortunately I still work, and she abandoned me at long ago. She started in hardware and probably didn't think much of me since I worked on the front end with all those b-words. I ended up getting to crash her birthday party at Edgefield and we all sat and enjoyed drinks and Stephanie proclaimed, "I can't imagine being 25!". A 25 year-old me then informed her I was 25, and from then on I became her old, wise friend, guiding her to making the best decisions. Just kidding, we were both young and stupid and went on a lot of random, fun, amazing adventures together like the beach, buying $20 worth of candy for ourselves at the mall, spontaneous hiking in the gorge, enjoying music and giggling about boys. She's always been my positive motivation.
