We met in 2013 during our Junior year of High School. We went on a few movie and dinner dates before our Junior Prom, where I asked Natalia to be my Girlfriend. We have been together ever since - Nine years and counting! I'd say we would be inseparable if it wasn't for my military service, which she has unending support for. I always knew she was the one, and that we would be husband and wife. I made a mental contract to myself- once I am promoted to Sergeant then I'll propose! Then in March of '19 I became Sergeant Hychko, so I had to make Natalia "Mrs. Hychko." Fast forward about two weeks, where we were vacationing on a cruise with my family. On ship Natalia had spotted a ring that she fell in love with. The second she looked away I made the jeweler stash it. I came back moments later with my Dad and bought the ring. On the last night of the cruise I asked my Dad for the ring that was being stored away. He asked if I was going to give it to Natalia. It was almost a call to action. No one else knew I had the ring in that moment, and that I wanted to propose to her with it. The moment felt right, so I presented the ring to her. She immediately realized it was the one she had fallen in love with, and was ecstatic. She initially placed it on her middle finger, so I told her it was the wrong one. She was confused at first, not getting it. So I asked the big question- to which she said yes! It was out of the blue, out in the great blue, and the rest is history!
