Denver International Airport (DEN)

8500 Peña Blvd, Denver, CO 80249, USA This is main airport in Colorado and likely the easiest option in terms of finding flights. If you fly into DIA, you'll need to either rent a car & drive to Steamboat OR hop on a connecting flight to Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN). The flight from DIA to HDN is only about 20 minutes in the air & has breathtaking views. From Denver/DIA, the drive to Steamboat is about 3 hours. It's a beautiful trip with lots of great places to stop along the way. *We've traveled from Denver to Steamboat in 2.5 hours without traffic, so just depends when you leave.

Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN)

This is the closest airport to Steamboat, about 20 minutes outside of town. You will need to rent a car or book an Alpine Taxi for transportation from the airport - https://www.goalpine.com/. We've rented cars from this airport and it's so easy! The drive from the airport into downtown Steamboat is also beautiful - highly recommend doing this!

Drive from Denver

Our favorite way to get from Denver to Steamboat takes about 2.5 hrs and is a beautiful drive! We recommend making the drive during the day vs night. Take I-70 W through Silverthorne, then take CO-9 N thru Kremmling and then US-40 W to 6th St towards Steamboat Springs.
