Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Aloha

Michael and I are are so grateful that you are coming to join us for this special, if not momentous, occasion! We are looking into many things and will let you know as things are confirmed. Kona is 3 hours behind our time, so when it's 5pm there, it's 8pm our time. Sunsets about 6:30pm this time of year and Kona stays pretty quiet after about 10pm - mind you we're pretty tired as it's 1am our time. There are 2 pools and hot tubs at the Royal Sea Cliff Resort and many resort activities you can join in on (check out the travel page for more info). We often start the day with Jello shots and are already planning making some the first night lol. We will be attending a Time Share Presentation (only those over 25) and try and see what we can squeeze out of them for a tour or luau but can't promise anything. We have discovered a grocery delivery company and will likely be using it so we don't use up our precious time in paradise. You can grab a bottle of something at Duty free if you want something to drink when you get there or just head to the store on Sunday - there's plenty of places to purchase. We do know they are working diligently to open the Volcano National Park however not sure what this will look like - stay tuned! Many evenings, we love to go for happy hour cocktails and pupus in town so likely will do that Monday eve and Wednesday eve. There's a trolley stop right outside the resort for $2 each and Ubers into town are about $8-$10. Walk into the edge of town is a good half hour but doable - just remember it's hot! Check the schedule tab for planned activities and wedding stuff. We hope you fall in love with this quiet little Hawaiian town as we have!

How We Met

Lesley's version

I have to thank Arbonne for this one! I met Mike's brother, Andrew, through a mutual friend which led him to join my Arbonne team in May 2016. As is customary, I help with hosting a new consultant's launch parties. I remember the 1st of 3 parties, this guy shows up to Andrew's condo and walks in the door, loud and full of jokes and pranks. He sits to watch the presentation and, while I'm speaking, tells me I look like a Supermodel on the beach with the fan blowing my hair, I even had some water splashing on me from the turtle tank! Needless to say I blushed profusely but did not miss a beat with my story, lol. We had 2 other parties that week, and guess who showed up to them... those who know Mike, will be surprised that he missed his beloved Penguins playoffs just to come to the parties, he is such a good supportive brother! He definitely made an impression and scared me out of my wits! ...and Andrew took full advantage making sure Mike ordered a bunch of product. We all still laugh about those parties! We met again in September 2016 when Andrew and I were attending our Arbonne Canadian Conference in Niagara Falls, ON; Mike had flown to Niagara Falls to drive back their middle brother's trailer with Andrew after the conference - see I told you, he's an awesome big brother! I remember my friend, Emma, saying "Is that Andrew's brother in ON? He's kinda cute, it isn't gonna hurt to go for coffee!" We hung out a couple of nights and had a ton of fun. Andrew is so proud to say he helped us make our first date on our last night in the Falls! My uncomfortable - haven't dated since I was 19 and Mike the flirt lol - we made plans for a coffee date back in AB and then hung out to the wee hours that night. I made everyone sick in the Falls, I mean super sick, but we didn't postpone our date - we just stayed in with some homemade Hamburger Soup and lot's of coughs and laughs! ...and the rest, they say - is history.
