Frenemy of himself since 1989. Eric grew up in Savage, MT with his parents Matt and Vicky and sister Casie. He attended college at MSU Bozeman (Go Cats!). He worked as a civil engineer and project manager throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana before settling down in Billings, MT. He enjoys golfing, sipping old fashions, a well cut lawn, the MSU Bobcats, home improvement projects, using woodworking and lasercutting as a secret creative outlet (which Kylie promotes for him) , community service, and all the inter-mural sports he can participate in. Soon after he got his house and Dagny, he met Kylie (September 8, 2018). You likely know the rest of this story…

Friend of the groom since September 8th, 2018. Friend of herself (most days) since 1992. Kylie grew up in Minot, ND with her parents Cathy and Warren and two sisters Terri and Mary Elizabeth. She attended college at UMM-Morris then transferred to Minot State University, where she graduated as the first Early Childhood Education major, with a second BSE in Elementary Education. She taught in Glenburn, ND and worked as a behavior coach at MDEC before moving to Billings, MT. She’s taught 5 years in Montana, throughout a variety of grades. Kylie enjoys iced coffee, buying plants (and making her plant-witch-friends keep them alive), advocating for those in need, taking naps, hiking, devouring books, and crafting. Soon after moving to Montana, Kylie met Dagny… I mean, Eric… and the rest is history!
Brent Gilliam

Friend of the groom since 2010. Fellow Bobcat season ticket holder, professional tailgater (at football games and in traffic), MSU alum, and woodworker. Excellent boat captain but don't let him on a moped. Likes IPAs and whiskey, golfing, and sitting in the backseat with his feet on the hump.
Terri Niess
Matron of Honor
Friend and sister of the bride since 1992. Terri and Kylie have grown together over the years, lucky their parents gave them a best friend as a sister! Terri graduated with her BSE and Masters from Minot State University. She’s been Kylie’s role model, as a mom, teacher, and person, longer than anyone can pinpoint. Terri is incredibly active in her community and church, raising 5 semi-feral but publicly-polite children, and using her remaining creative energy in crafting and writing. She enjoys camping, reading, coffee (a need, not just a want), hiking, creative writing, inspiring learners and educators alike, and encouraging Kylie’s crafting and reading habits. She is shorter than her TBR pile, but could build a monolith all the supports she’s selflessly given to others.

Friend of the groom since 2007. Fellow MSU alum and rabid Bobcat fan, roommate, classmate, colleague, and teammate. Frustratingly good at most things. Only knows two karaoke songs. Likes putting on holiday light shows, wakeboarding, and being pestilent in social situations.
Courtney Olson

Friend of the bride since 2012. Graduates of rival middle schools, Courtney and Kylie went to Minot High School together. They became besties in college, while working at Olive Garden together, bonding over boys and breadsticks. The secrets she holds are many. The distance between us a mere inconvenience. Courtney likes red wine, arts and music, advocating for others, brunch, family time, reading, and traveling far and near.
Jake Spencer
Groomsman
Friend of the groom since 2010. Another fellow Bobcat season ticket holder, roommate, golf partner, and icing extraordinaire. Clean driving record up until 2012. Loves the Bobcats so much that he works for a company with the same name. Likes sour beers, UND hockey, and pretending that he doesn't own any NDSU gear.
Mary Elizabeth Gamas

Sister and friend (some of the time) of the bride since 1997. Mary Elizabeth and Kylie met in Unimed Hospital where Kylie was upset she wasn’t a brother yet excited for the little “Squeak” we got to take home. M.E., as her family often calls her, enjoys board games, reading, music, scaring people with her strong eyebrow game, advocating for others, and Earl Grey tea (Bigelow only, because she has good taste).
Colten Herbert

Friend of the groom since ~2004. Fellow Savage Public School alum, roommate, and teammate. As a quarterback, he's excellent at hitting his star check-down receiver under duress. Less good-looking than any of his siblings. Likes North Carolina basketball, rodeoing, and hitting on 19.
Trin Halverson

Friend of the bride and groom since 2018. Trin saw the potential for Eric and Kylie’s love well before they did - and schemed to make us realize it. Spoiler: she succeeded. Since we’ve met, Trin has both encouraged and grounded Kylie. Trin enjoys plants, Red Bull (yellow only), advocating for animals , telling it like it is, eating tacos, and raising her two sometimes-lovely children Yeya & Beni. Trin is a total boss babe and bound to break the hearts of some single men throughout Sidney.
Casie Vollmer

Friend of the bride since 2012. Sister of the groom since 1992. Wondrous teacher, photographer, and crafter. Terrible taste in football teams (Vikings), but we love her despite it. Always gorgeous makeup & fashion queen. Very convincing at pretending not to enjoy Eric’s humor. Casie enjoys golfing (drinking beer outside with friends), traveling (gambling in Vegas), and crafting (buying beautiful things her hubby doesn’t need to know about).

Friend of the groom since 2019 and brother-in-law since 2020. Fellow farm kid, Packers fan, and golfer. Extremely handy and hardworking in all facets of life. Not a great pizza delivery guy. Likes cold beer, watching the Vikings lose, and being called the correct name.
