Bridesmaid
When Miss Lauren Fowler-soon-to-be-Wang and I met a few years ago through mutual friends at church, I thought she was very sweet, albeit maybe a little ditzy.... ;) Little did I know that someday I’d grow to trust her more than most humans or love her beautiful soul so deeply! All I can say is that Tony is a lucky dude to gain her as a wife and me as a third wheel to many future outdoor adventures and trips to Disneyland (right, guys?)!

I remember Tony from diapers to huge Pokémon fan to awkward teenager with long emo hair to living on his own in SLO to being a mentor for others to a working professional in SF & now a future husband to Lauren; where has all the time gone? Sometimes I feel like it was just yesterday when Tony routinely covered his face with a hat so people wouldn’t look at him (búyào kànwô) or his refusal to go into a movie theater because LOUD NOISES & I felt like our age difference would always keep us from ever being close friends. Yet here we stand today, as adults, equals, & I couldn’t be more proud to be known as your older brother, belay partner, confidant & close friend. I can’t wait to stand next to you on your special day & welcome Lauren into our growing family as a new sister #hapababyforthewin

When Lauren and I met for the first time as new roommates, I greeted her by awkwardly shaking her hand. Little did I know our friendship was to be full of more tear-filled hugs and empathetic hand-holding than one would think for one year. Lauren is a compassionate, bright, and authentic human being who consistently engages in the brilliant joys and deepest sorrows from both our lives! Lauren and Tony compliment, challenge, and encourage each other in ways that ultimately make the other a better human. I cannot wait to walk alongside this beautiful couple for the rest of their lives!

Tony was my freshmen community group leader at Cal Poly - I've enjoyed seeing our friendship grow into a close one since then. From watching him attack insane bouldering problems, traveling the Northwest, and living in the City together I have seen first hand how well he cares for God, people, and this world. I know that Tony will deeply care and love Lauren and I am thrilled to cheer them on as they begin this new journey.

I knew from the second we failed math class together (twice) that Lauren was going to be a best friend of mine. Whether we spend our time going through the Burger-King drive thru for the 99 cent ice cream cones or whether we’re sitting down for a nice meal at Chick-Fil-A (because, health) it is always the absolute best of times. Lauren has been there for me through the worst of times and the best of times. She is a true light in this world and has never failed to remind me of how much she loves me and cares for me. AND I am so excited to watch Lauren and Tony embark on this beautiful journey together!

Tony led the freshmen Bible study I was a part of at Cal Poly. I think he did okay… :) but honestly this man has been through the ups and downs of my life for the past 7 years and I couldn’t have asked for a better brother in Christ. From pledging money to random projects on kickstarter to making his own coffee table (he made me sand everything), this man has done it all. Thanks for letting me be a part of this! Woohooooo

I've known Lauren for over 10 years, which means we've been there for each other through 6 schools, dozens of theoretical career changes, at least 30 nanny families, about one million different wardrobes, and 3 continents of best friendship. But two things haven't wavered: Lauren's preferred brand of mac n cheese, and her unparralled capacity for compassion and love. It's rare to find a human who shines the way Lauren does—even rarer to find a partner who can match her light and reflect it back! You two make a rockin' team and I'm stoked for the many coffeeshop dates, Bananagrams, and pick-apart-each-other's-souls conversations to come. Welcome to the family, Tony!!

Tony and I met our freshman year in college during a flag football game where I was so impressed by his big time plays I knew I needed to be friends with him. I was fortunate enough to lead a bible study group with Tony where through lesson plans and doing life together, I learned how valuable his friendship is. Tony is an amazing listener and is one of the most selfless people I know. God is so good to bring him together with Lauren! What a match! The way they serve and bless each other is incredible to witness and I’m stoked to support them on their wedding day and on into their marriage!

When I first met Lauren back in 8th grade, I envied her because of her gorgeous blonde hair and cool gymnastic abilities. I thought she was so cool, calm, and collected — the absolute coolest. I had no idea that I was about to become best friends with the biggest/most lovable weirdo I know and grow to admire not only her beautiful blonde hair but also her one-of-a-kind quirks and how unapologetically herself she is. It makes me so happy that Lo’s found a quirky dude (that’s you, T Wang, ps I’m glad you’re a rock climber, too!!) who loves her for the incredible person she is. TONY & LAUREN 2k19 WAHOO!

I met Lauren when she came to the city just for a day trip. That day trip turned into her falling in love with SF and wanting to call it “home” and I am SO glad it did! From wine dates, deep talks (is there any other type of convo with Lauren? ❤️) all the way to loving kiddos in Africa, Lauren has become one of my dearest friends and I cannot wait for her to marry the love of her life! Tony, I approve your choice of wife. Good work.

I have known Tony since our first year in college as we were involved in the same Christian fellowship. He’s been intentional, caring, and thoughtful towards me in all the years I have known him. I am excited for Tony and Lauren’s upcoming marriage as I am confident he will do the exact same unto her. This dude’s quality and I am honored to be one of Tony’s groomsmen to hold him accountable to God on his vows to Lauren.

The first time I truly hung out with Lauren was at a family weekend when she was eight. I had no way of knowing that this super active and crazy lil girl with pigtails would grow up to be such an incredible woman and close friend. Every year Lauren would fly out to So Cal so we could spend time together baking, eating, watching garbage (and a few good shows) on TV and having great talks about boys, life, school ....and most importantly, God and His plan. I always knew she was special and that someday God would lead her to the perfect guy… And He sure did. I am so thankful for the relationship that she has with Tony and I look forward to not only their special day, but all the memories of special times to come. Love them both so much, Auntie Mary

I first met Tony when he was still a young whippersnapper. Right from the start, I was impressed with his desire to grow his faith and his biceps. I couldn’t be prouder of the young man he has become and am not surprised his faith and physique have attracted someone like Lauren.

Hi, I'm Ashley! I’ve known Lauren for a little over 2 years now. From the moment I met her I knew we’d be friends, we both love deep talks, we cry over hallmark commercials and love hugs. For the last year I have been so blessed to walk alongside Lauren in her relationship with Tony and watch it flourish into what it is today. Lauren has such a special place in my heart and I am so honored to stand beside her as she marries her best friend!

I’ve had the honor and privilege of knowing both Tony and Lauren individually before they got together: Tony came to be involved with my college ministry after I graduated and Lauren and I worked together in our local church. And now seeing these two souls intertwining helps me to see the hand of God directing their steps! As Tony grew in his relationship with Lauren, he allowed me into his life to be a listening ear for him and to offer wisdom and truth. I’m thankful that I get to stand up with Tony and Lauren on their wedding day as a testament to the grace and beauty of this relationship!
