Question

Can I drive my own car across the border to attend the wedding in Mexico?

Answer

Yes! My family and I have done this several times and have not had problems getting to the venue. However, we recommend purchasing Mexican car insurance. In addition, please confirm your lodging has secure parking if you do pursue this option. Our venue has 24/7 security and secure parking. If you have never driven in a foreign country then we do not recommend this option.

Question

What is the recommended shuttle service I should use to/from San Diego Airport to the lodgings in Mexico?

Answer

Make Your Baja Trip Smooth and Comfortable We recommend booking transportation in advance for a hassle-free experience. The recommended vendor offers round-trip shuttle service from San Diego to Baja and back. Here’s how it works: - Pickup: The driver can pick you up at the San Diego airport or another designated San Diego location. Discuss the best pickup spot directly with the vendor. - Drop-off: You’ll be taken safely across the border to your hotel, Airbnb, or wedding venue (Villa del Paraiso). - Return: At the end of the weekend, the driver will pick you up from your original drop-off point and safely return you to San Diego. You won’t need to leave the shuttle at the border. Steps to Book: 1. Contact the vendor via WhatsApp and provide the following details: Vendor Information: Ray Ochoa (WhatsApp) 858-790-2380 (or another vendor on the recommendation list) WWW.bajawineanddinetours.com - Your name - The bride and groom’s names, wedding date, and venue name (Villa del Paraiso) - Number of people in your group The vendor will reply with more information and pricing. The service costs approximately $169 for a round trip across the border. Subject to change per vendor.
