Jimmy and Lauren met while playing adult rec league soccer... on opposite teams. And yes, she did school him and impress him simultaneously. They met in Raleigh in the Summer of 2012 and maintained a friendship for several months before Lauren realized that he was too shy to make the first move and she had to take charge. The two made the decision to move to Colorado together after Jimmy was given an incredible opportunity for job advancement in the Fall of 2013. Since the move they have had a collective 4 knee surgeries due to soccer but are now pros at the surgery game and cherish the times that they are both healthy. They enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, and fly fishing together... and maybe one day they will once again play soccer together.

We are so thrilled to be able to celebrate our love in as special a place as Colorado. We have been playing in the Front Range and mountains of this great state for the past 5 years and could not be happier with where we live. We frequently have friends and family tell us how awesome the pictures of our adventures are and how badly they wish they could visit. Well guess what... now you get the chance! We're hoping that our loved ones will see our destination wedding as an opportunity to explore the state and find their own adventures, rather than as a burden of having to travel over a much-coveted holiday weekend. We are beyond grateful to those that are willing to put in the miles to celebrate with us. That being said, we understand how valuable your time and money are and know that some of our favorite people will be unable to join us for our special occasion... and that's okay! We know you love us and we're going to try our hardest to find a way to broadcast the celebration so that you can have a bottle of bubbly with us from afar. But of course... you should try your darnedest to get here because it's gonna be awesome :D.

Crested Butte is one of our favorite places in Colorado, and one of our favorite places anywhere! We actually got engaged in our hammock by the river right off Kebler Pass. Crested Butte is the quintessential mountain town. Charm, views, mountain activities and with world-class food and drink to boot. The town of 1,600 was the perfect place for our nuptials because it means so much to us and we can't wait to share it with you!
