It all started with a dating app! OkCupid to be exact! We both had just gotten out of long term relationships, so we had that in common. We both weren’t looking for anything serious at the time but they do always say, you find the right person when you least expect it! That definitely rang true for us. We started talking on the dating app New Years Eve. Conor had sent me a message 10 days prior and I hadn’t replied because the part of his message I could see was “will you do my make up?” I thought he had seen I was a make up artist and wanted my services. I wasn’t sure! I didn’t think too hard about it. Not until New Years Eve, did I actually open the message and he had actually said “Hey, you have beautiful eyes! Your dogs are cute! Will you do my make up?” which he actually meant as a joke🤣 so I finally replied and we ended up talking non-stop! A week later we had our first date planned. We FaceTimed the night before and OMG!! was he gorgeous! I was so nervous! We hit it off over FaceTime, too. The next night was our first date at the The Steel Kitchen in Columbia. Conor got there before me and saw me walk in and he said it was love at first sight!! He kept looking at me with these mysterious eyes across the table. I was so flustered I couldn’t even look at him! Needless to say, we had lots of chemistry. The waitress asked me how long we’d been together when he got up to go to the bathroom. I told her this was our first date and she said she couldn’t believe it and that we looked and seemed perfect together! He ended up asking me to be exclusive that night and after talking to my best friend Torri, my now maid of honor and Godmother to Freya, she told me that it sounded just like how it was when she met her husband Zach and if it felt right that I should go for it! So I did! The next night we had our second date. We went to his apartment and cooked chicken Marsala together. He ended up asking me to be his girlfriend that night and I said yes! Ever since that day we have been so happy and in love. Our lives just kept progressing together in positive ways at such a quick rate. We knew we had found our soulmate!! When we first moved into our 1 bedroom apartment together, a month or so after we got our furbaby Izzy, everything went into lock down. The pandemic had begun! As scary as it all was, Conor and I only became closer and again we knew we had found our perfect match. We are so happy to be getting married and to have our little girl, Freya Lorraine there with us, to celebrate us becoming husband and wife! I love you Conor! I can’t wait to marry you!
