This is on the mainland. From there, you will need to travel to the town of San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye; you can do this by taking another short flight or by taking a ferry (about 1 hour 30 minutes).

Water Taxi From San Pedro Town to Portofino Resort

Please make sure to book your stay with Henry by emailing info@portofinobelize.com. Once you’ve booked your stay and your travel, make sure to let Henry know when you think you will arrive in San Pedro, so that he can arrange for someone from the resort to pick you up in town and take you to the resort by boat. (Don’t pay any attention to these dates/times - someone will come to meet you whenever you arrive in San Pedro.)

X'tan Ha "The Waterfront" Resort

We do not have any discounts or arrangements here. However, if you do not wish to stay at Portofino Resort, this is another hotel option relatively close to where the wedding will take place. Please keep in mind that cars are not allowed on this island, so aside from water taxis, bikes and golf carts are the only modes of transit, and you may want to consider renting one of those if you don’t wish to walk the distance between resorts.

Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite

This studio apartment is currently available for rent during the week of our wedding at a very reasonable rate! A great option if you want to attend and also stick to your budget. However, please keep in mind that this location is still about 3 miles south of the resort where the wedding will take place, so you would need to rent bicycles or a golf cart in order to travel back and forth between the two locations. No cars are allowed on this island, so aside from water taxis, bikes and golf carts are the only modes of transit.

Cute Cottage on the Sea

This cozy little cottage is currently available for rent via VRBO during the week of our wedding, and is a good option if you want to join us for the festivities but still stick to your budget! However, please note that this home stay is about one hour’s walk (3.5 miles) from Portofino Resort, where the wedding will take place, so you would need to rent a golf cart or bicycles to travel between the two.
