Join us for a fun afternoon to celebrate our impending nuptials! Solid State has a great selection of local beers on tap, as well as board games and pinball. We’ll secure some space and provide some pizzas. Please come join us for a drink (or several) and help us celebrate!

Rehearsal Dinner/Mehndi Party

We’ll meet outside the resort’s bar on the patio to enjoy some food and good times! The Mehndi is a traditional event prior to Indian weddings where the bride, women in the family, and the bridal party get decked out in beautiful henna designs before the wedding! Both men and women are welcome to attend this event and enjoy a meal with us. Getting your hands/feet decorated is entirely optional (you’re welcome to hang out with us either way!). NOTE: Henna does take awhile to dry, and it will stay on/stain your hands and/or feet for a few days afterward. Just something to consider ahead of time, as the design will last for several days after the wedding, if you decide to participate.

The Big Day!

Important Notes: We kindly request that you remove your shoes and cover your head during the ceremony (head coverings will be provided). The ceremony will begin at 4 PM, followed by a cocktail hour at 5 PM, and dinner and the reception will start at 6 PM (right around sunset). Everything will happen on the beach, so dress accordingly!
We will plan to arrive at Portofino Resort the Tuesday before the wedding, and if you can swing it, we’d love to hang out with you before the big day! Let us know if you plan to be in the area for any length of time before the wedding so we can try to plan something fun!
