We met on the dating app Bumble and bonded over our love of the 90s television show, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (the Martins and Gfroerers will remember Lauren rapping the theme song at Beach Olympics in Callaway when she was in high school!). We went on our first date in New Hope, PA shortly after connecting.

In March 2018, we took a trip to Ireland. While there, we rented a car and did a tour of the island, following the coast all the way around. While in Oysterhaven, County Cork, Justin proposed to Lauren in front of an oyster bay, and we went out for Galway oysters and champagne after Lauren happily accepted the proposal. The next day, we went horseback riding in Galway. Justin had a talk with the owner of the stable and quickly asked for the ring back, to which Lauren replied, "no take-backs." Justin had previously spoken with the owner of the stables about proposing on horseback, but had decided to go a different route.... but the stables thought the surprise engagement was still on and were so excited for it! Lauren reluctantly gave up the ring, and we got re-engaged on horseback after cantering on the beach.
