The night we met, we were both drug downtown by some mutual friends. We instantly hit it off, I even convinced Michael to karaoke with me (one of the first and last times he agreed to that one). We parted ways and I waited to hear from him again. Fast forward to about 3 dates later, we made the impulse decision to spend a weekend in New Orleans. I knew I loved him then. He was just as fun loving and adventurous as me, but of course, I was the wild one, dragging him down Bourbon Street and through the French Quarter all night. Needless to say, that was where our love story officially started and why we chose New Orleans to celebrate our marriage.

Michael was slick on this one, I'll give him that. He scheduled what I thought was going to be a normal date night at one of our favorite spots downtown; however, little did I know, he had called the theater in advance and worked out a deal for them to put the proposal in the marquee. Can you say ROMANTIC, I nearly died. When we walked out of the theater, he told me to turn around. I saw the sign and my heart dropped. I spun back around to see him on one knee and two of our dear friends recording and photographing the whole event. Hysterically laughing (trying not to cry) I of course said yes and the rest was history.
