Things To Do

If you are visiting the area for the first time, welcome! Western NY is quiet, but beautiful! Some of the bride and groom's favorite hot spots to visit are listed on this page. The hotels are located in Henrietta, and being a suburban, college-town, there's not much you can't find to do or eat. This list provides restaurants more native to Caledonia as well as some special places to spend your time.
Letchworth State Park

Letchworth State Park

1 Letchworth State Park, Castile, NY 14427
, (585) 493-3600

This is the bride and groom's favorite hike location! It's about 17 miles long, and it is about a half hour drive from Caledonia, NY. Brian's U.S.A. Diner is located at the Mt. Morris entrance to the park in case you forgot your picnic basket! Not a diner fan?... Not a problem! You can also grab food at the Glenn Iris Inn which is located right at the center of the park as it overlooks the beautiful water falls.

The Strong Museum

The Strong Museum

One Manhattan Square Drive, Rochester, NY 14607
, (585) 263-2700

This museum is a family favorite for both the Carson's and Ingersoll's! Jacquie and Josh not only grew up attending this museum, but they have also returned many times with Josh's younger sister, Mia. The museum offers a plethora of activities such as an 80's arcade, the historical toys room, and even a children's Wegmans to shop through. It is fun for all ages!

Genesee Country Village & Museum

Genesee Country Village & Museum

1410 Flint Hill Road, Mumford, NY 14511
, (585) 538-6822

Looking for a fun, yet educational day activity? Hit up the Genesee Country Village and Museum! Located in Mumford, NY, this place is a highly interactive trip through the area's history. This has forever been a town favorite!

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, NY

Although this is a bit of a drive, seeing one of "the seven wonders of the world" is worth the trip! It's a beautiful site and easy park walk. If you get hungry, we highly recommend grabbing lunch in Buffalo (home to the greatest chicken wings and NFL team)!

The Village Inn

The Village Inn

3137 Main Street, Caledonia, NY 14423
, 5852945130

In the mood for some good food? Head over to The Village Inn located right in the middle of Caledonia! The have a wonderful full menu, bar menu, draft list and staff! In fact, this is where the bride and groom had their first big kid "date" on Valentine's Day 2011. Likewise, if you attended the bachelorette party in western NY, this is where you may order Sara's Key Lime Martini! It's a town favorite, and you won't be disappointed!

Hunts Pub

Hunts Pub

1027 Main Street, Mumford, NY 14511
, 5855386670

Coming into town on Thursday, May 27th? Catch the bride and groom most likely hitting up "Wing Night" at Hunts Pub! They have the best wings in the area, and the groom particularly enjoys ordering the "bomb wings" (do not try these at home, kids!). Likewise, this pub is located right down the street from the church in which the ceremony will take place. So, if you would like to kill some time before heading right to the reception, this location is a great spot for you!

Genesee Brew House

Genesee Brew House

25 Cataract Street, Rochester, NY 14605
, 5852639200

Genesee Beer (a.k.a. river water) is a local "delicacy". The Brew House is located in downtown Rochester, and it overlooks the beautiful, historic High Falls. If it's not too cold, enjoy a Genny while sitting on the roof as you take in a great view of the city. Being in the middle of the city, this can be a great start to your night spent in Rochester, NY! While you're there, be sure to try another local favorite: a Zwiegles White Hot!
