Jamie and Laila met while working at Erie Rise Leadership Academy Charter School. They worked together for over a year before they were set up by a mutual friend and coworker, Karen. Once they started seeing each other, it was hard to keep them apart.

First comes school, then comes marriage

How we met

Jamie took Laila to Pittsburgh after Christmas for a quick getaway. On the night of the proposal, they went to Dazzling Nights and after walking through the romantic light instillations, Jamie popped the question. It was an immediate yes!
