In 2016, Brian Lee took Eric to a party at UofR. We are so lucky to have him as a mutual friend who insisted that we were too good of people to be dating anyone else. We started dating on Halloween weekend of 2017. Our first date was to the Strong National Museum of Play (Eric had no idea that Kathryn was obsessed with toys at the time) followed up with baking an apple pie with apples that were picked with the help some pretty cool kiddos.

Eric coordinated with Shari, Kathryn's lifelong best friend, to bring Kathryn's Grandmother's engagement ring to San Antonio to help him surprise Kathryn with his proposal.
