It all started in April of 2022, when Kyle and Cayla swiped right on Bumble, creating the perfect match! This led to their first date at Fish Taco, where they enjoyed frozen margs, chips + guac, and hours of getting to know each other, quickly realizing that this was the start of something special. Just a few weeks later, with his heart beating through his chest and words stumbling out, Kyle asked Cayla to officially be his girlfriend! After their first summer together, Cayla moved to Charlotte, NC, and long distance began. They spent countless hours on FaceTime and even more driving back and forth between Charlotte and Arlington. Until finally, after 2 years apart, Kyle and Cayla moved in together in 2024! Fast forward to the summer of 2025, when Kyle started thinking about how he wanted to propose. After ruling out the breathtaking views that Clarendon provides (Spider Kelly's rooftop perhaps?), he decided on the perfect plan: Take Cayla to London for a surprise birthday trip in November! Little did she know that there was an even bigger surprise on the way... Kyle took her to a picturesque garden in Hampstead Heath park, and, after his heart beat through his chest and he stumbled over some words (again!), he popped the question! Cayla said YES!, and the rest of their London trip was pure bliss. They've been loving their fiancé era ever since and can't wait for you to come and celebrate their big day!!!
