Open to the public since 1947, Edison Ford is a National Register Historic Site and is one of the most visited historic home sites in America.
Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve
The Six Mile Cypress Slough (pronounced “slew”) is over 3,500 acres of wetland in Fort Myers, Florida, that measures approximately 11 miles long and 1/3 mile wide. This linear ecosystem is home to a diverse population of plants and animals, including a few considered to be endangered. The Slough also serves as a corridor for wildlife by providing a safe route of travel.
