Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Anyone is welcome to attend the ceremony. While we love your children, due to venue restrictions, children under 12 are not allowed at the reception. If you are interested in childcare during the reception, please contact Hannah and Mike.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

There is a wedding directly before and after Hannah and Michael's, so we will be beginning right at 1pm. Thus, we recommend arriving at about 12:45. If you arrive before 12:30, you may have to wait for a few moments while the prior guests are leaving.

Will there be a break between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony will end around 2:15 and the cocktail hour will begin at 5pm. There are many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood, and North Pond and Lincoln Park conservatory are nearby the church. For bars and restaurants in the area, we recommend Gaslight, Drawl and Cassati's.

How do I get to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The church and reception venue are about 1 block apart. There is a parking lot at St. Clement, which our guests can begin parking at 30 minutes before the ceremony. Cars parked in St. Clement's lot will have to be moved immediately following the ceremony. Additionally, the reception venue, located at 525 W Arlington (1.5 blocks from the church) will have a valet available for $20. Times for the valet will be posted soon. Lollapolooza will be the same weekend, so guests traveling from the Southside of Chicago should keep this in mind when driving and Uber and Lyfts may take longer.

We note that the attire is black tie optional. We’d love you there though in whatever you’re comfortable in, though!

We are offering three options: Tortellini Casalinga: Parma Prosciutto, pine nuts, peas, onions and mushrooms in a savory cream sauce (contains pork) Chicken Vesuvio: Breast of chicken with spring peas in a roasted garlic white wine sauce Farfalle Alla Vodka: Bowtie pasta in a roasted plum tomato vodka cream sauce

How is Covid-19 affecting the wedding?

Answer

We kindly request that guests are mindful of providing guests with 6 feet of space. The church will have spaced out seating. At the reception venue, we will be mindful of space between tables, and we are also following all Chicago guidelines, which allows a venue to be at 25% capacity, and vaccinated individuals do not count in that total. There will not be passed plating during cocktail hour and appetizers will be served at your table. We ask that guests avoid crowding, and have increased space to reduce crowds as well. Vaccinated individuals are asked but not required to wear a mask. We kindly note that due to Chicago city rules, all unvaccinated individuals will be required to wear a mask when not seated at their table and eating, and will be required to keep six feet of distance from non-household members and to remain masked on the dance floor or other common areas.

Where can I park?

Answer

There is a parking lot directly in front of St. Clement. We note cars there will need to be moved post-Ceremony and can be parked there from 12:30 - 2:30.
