It's really just a party at a farm. Would you wear shorts to a party at a farm? Of course you would. Then yes, you can wear shorts or whatever you want. We just want you there with us, comfortable, and happy. We aren't really friends with anyone fancy so don't make it weird by trying to be.
First of all, if you hate beer, why are we even friends? However, this is a private residence so no need to follow liquor laws or any of that nonsense. We will have beer, but you do you, Boo. Bring something else if you want.
Don't ruin our wedding by getting a DUI, or worse, on the way home. You don't want to be THAT GUY. If you plan to celebrate, please make a reservation so you don't have to drive back to town. It is a long, dark drive in the middle of nowhere- literally NOWHERE. It is dark and there might be bears or deer or unicorns (it IS going to be a magical night) that jump out in the road. Please be safe.
Yes. We will be asking for all y'all to gather up and take a gigantic group picture after the ceremony. If you are coming to our wedding, it is because you are important to us and we want a big picture with all the people we love most in the world. Suck it up, smile, say CHEESE to earn a place in the photo over our fireplace forever.
Yes, it's a farm. Hopefully the snakes are smart enough to stay away from 100 dancing fools but it is the country...Might be a good place to try out those Cowboy boots. The Bowdens have cows, chickens, horses, donkeys (including a cute little baby donkey), and two giant polar bear looking dogs who will be acting as bouncers- roaming the party and making sure y'all are behaving.
I can't promise that my industrious yet mischievous children won't be disguised in moustaches trying to collect parking fees, but, barring that, you can park for free. If you fall for that trap, that's on you (I mean, you've met Riley, right?). However... it is a residential home without a parking lot so you might consider carpooling with your bestie to conserve space.
It is not a wedding venue. We are friends with these very kind, giving people, Valerie and Billy Bowden, who bought this amazing place a few years back and are letting us have our wedding there. It is their home and won't show up as a wedding venue. Make sure to have the actual address when you head out because you won't find it as "Bowden Farm" on google. We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to the Bowdens for letting us have this party at their house. What an amazing gift! We cannot tell you how much we appreciate it!
