Zurich's Old Town or Alstadt is the historic heart of Zurich with many great restaurants and shops. The Food in Zurich is truly amazing and you can't go wrong, but a few of our favorite spots include Zeughauskeller (classic Swiss/German Food - a bit Touristy but delicious), Vallocaia (Amazing Italian Food - where we went the night we got engaged) and Trattoria Sempre (Italian Tapas - no explanation needed). The Old Town, particularly Niederdorf, is a great place to find a variety of eateries, and Bahnhofstrasse is known for its high-end restaurants and cafe. Wherever you end up, you truly can't have a bad meal in Zurich.
The Uetliberg is Zurich’s very own "mountain". From the top, visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the city and lake – and perhaps even a glimpse of the Alps.
Rhine Falls is Europes most powerful waterfall. The falls are located on the High Rhine just north of Zurich. There are many tour options for a quick morning or afternoon trip.
For a sweet taste of Switzerland, visit the Lindt Chocolate Shop. You can choose to just stop in for some sweet purchases or enjoy the full tour of the chocolate factory.
Just a quick train ride from Zurich, Lucerne is a great city to visit and explore more of Switzerland. Explore the nearby Mt. Pilatus and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Lucerne.
