FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Arrive by 1:00pm the latest. Our ceremony begins at 1:15pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. There is parking across the street from The Chapel Restoration at the train station parking lot. The train station parking lot is free on the weekends. There will be an attendant directing guests to the chapel.

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Yes. Please park at Beekman Elementary School. There will be a shuttle that will transport guests to and from the reception. The shuttle will run about every 16 minutes from 3:00pm to 4:30pm and from 9:00pm - 1:00am. Parking on the street at our home is limited to the catering staff. If necessary, you may drop guests off at our house, turn around at the end of our road and park at the Beekman Elementary School parking lot.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Garden Attire. Ladies should wear sundresses, floral prints, and fun hats! The gentlemen should wear suits in lighter hues and fun bowties! Check out this article for ideas! https://www.zola.com/expert-advice/wedding-attire-101-garden-edition

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event with the exception of children of the family and the bridal party. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us, relax and enjoy the evening.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony at The Chapel Restoration is indoors. The reception at our home is outdoors. Please plan accordingly and leave your stiletto's at home. Consider wearing chunky heels, wedges, or sandals instead.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

We are hoping for a perfect July day, but we suggest bringing an umbrella in the event of rain, or sunglasses and a sunhat in the event of a hot day. We do have a tent, but please remember our wedding is entirely outdoors.

Question

What kind of food will be served at the reception?

Answer

We are hosting a clambake BBQ! The catering company, Clambake Connection, is very accommodating regarding allergies. Please let us know on the RSVP of any allergies you may have.
