MY YES WOMAN. She is the wind beneath my wings and the person who introduced me to Hattie B's spicy chicken sandwich and Jeni's Ice Cream. She is my dance partner (we are truly amazing) and the first person I call if I need prayer. I have learned a lot watching Hals. Her trust in God dares you to take beautiful risks. They are beautiful because you believe that with God all things are possible, not just in your head but that they can be a reality in your life. I am really excited to bust out the typewriter on the dance floor with her again!

you just know when you meet some people, they will be epically awesome. We were hallmates at Hope Student's summer camp (as many true forever friend stories begin). She was on the blue team, and I was on the clearly superior red team. Despite our rivalry, we just clicked. Then we ended up dating roommates! Ansley is child-like joy, and your mum baking cookies simultaneously. You can't help but end up dancing in the kitchen baking bagels with her. She brilliantly shows the joy of a life filled with Christ and loves so authentically. She is empowering, adventurous, trustworthy, bold, and a gift from God.

When I first met Alec, he had short hair, small muscles and a knack for avoiding social interaction. But fast forward to today, his hair is now flowing like a shampoo commercial, and he's bulked up to become a muscle-bound powerhouse. As for his social skills, well, let's just say he's a work in progress. But with those impressive muscles and that glorious hair, who needs small talk anyway? He somehow got Ansley to fall for him, right???

met Kels many moons ago at our college group, and became fast friends. Cue several scenes of us in libraries, coffee shops, and parks studying and hanging out. She is the person I would call if I were stuck in a ditch somehow. She is thoughtfulness, support, consistency, and decisiveness in a bottle. Her love is Jesus sleeping on the boat; calm and powerful. Praise the Lord; he moved her within walking distance of my flat so I could show up at her doorstep almost every Thursday. It has been an honor to walk through life and our neighborhood together.

I met Micah more than 4 years ago. When we met, we knew that the leader of our small group would be leaving, so we prayed that God would bring someone to lead it or raise someone up to do it. Then came Micah. He was a total answer to prayer, taking over the small group and investing his life into a group of young guys for years. If he's not at work, helping families walk through the difficult process of donating a loved one's organs, he'll probably be at the gym or weeping over the decaying Denver Broncos.

tiny but mighty. When I was four, she appeared, all small and cute, in my home, and she has grown into one of the kindest and coolest people I know. We call her sunshine! She has a way of pouring confidence into you so that you believe you are beautiful and capable of great things. She deserves an award for all the times I sat in front of her mirror while she worked her magic (and friends or new girl played in the background). From making songs to memorize verses, goats on a roof, and classroom stories, I love being her older sister!

the lil (and only) dude of the thompson clan. Lover of legos, advanced math, and physics: i am insanely proud to be this guy’s sister. He pursues excellence in everything he does and loves his people so well. It has been a joy and honor to watch him grow taller, wiser, and stronger in his faith. I am so glad that God gave me such an amazing little brother who I can hike, study, and pan for gold with. LOVE HIM. pro tip: compliment his facial hair or show him cute dog pictures!

madyson and my friendship began running through the streets of Rome, looking for peonies. She has a servant's heart! I have never seen anyone show as much dedication in running med clinics, performing skits in Spanish, washing hair in a pila, cleaning toilets, helping her family, and sneaking me pan dulce. She has definitely seen me (and my hair) at my worst. Thankfully, Madyson sees beauty and bravery in everyday things. I love exploring new cities and books with her because she always sees things with a fresh perspective that has me saying, "wow." TI VOGLIO BENE & TE QUIERO MI HERMANA AMIGA!

"Matty", "Little Matt", or "Other Matt" and I have known each other for about four years. We met in small group, and have walked together ever since. Matty is a dear friend, who is more than willing to spend time playing a game, rock climbing, or simply studying the word over a good cup of coffee.

SHE IS BEAUTY. SHE IS GRACE. SHE IS POWERFUL. SHE IS BRILLIANT. One of my fav memories with Boo is when we were swinging through In-N-Out after group blaring and screaming the lyrics to Jesse's Girl and got the other cars in line to join. She probably has the highest number of minutes on my phone over the past few years, researching random topics, binging shows, study sessions, and grabbing coffee (states apart). Boo makes others feel as if their voices and ideas are important. She is protective, honest, and one of the most hard-working women I know. I love her and glad she's my life partner.

I've known Joey for almost seven years, and we've been living together for just under two years. He is, by all accounts, the ultimate hype man. It's been a great time living together, hanging out when he has free time (however scarce that may be), and watching him grow into a passionate minister of the Gospel.
