I (Tiff) grew up swimming at this spring amongst the others in the neighboring areas. It's one of my favorite and is absolutely beautiful. The swimming spring water stays a crisp 72 degrees year round which feels amazing on the hot days. This park also has miles and miles of hiking and a beautiful picnic area with grills and tables.
This is one of our newest and favorite paddle boarding spots. It's where to famous glass bottom boat tours are, but we prefer to be in the water. There is "glass bottom" kayak and paddle board rentals although the glass bottom effect really isn't needed. The water is crystal clear and you can see to the bottom including all the fish, turtles, and a ship wreck.
This is the spring/ recreation area closest to Tiff and Dans house. It's also the home of the manatees and in November will be closed to swimming due to the hundreds of manatees that call this spiring home. There is a beautiful picnic area and a trail that you can walk along the river and see our sea cow friends. The water is crystal clear so you won't miss them if they've made the voyage home. Kayaking and paddle boarding is offered here with access to the St.Johns river
The mouse house is here if you're interested. Not our thing but plenty of people enjoy this place ;)
They have adorable seals 🤷♀️
Good food with a nice atmosphere close to the hotel and venue.
