Kent Falls is a beautiful park within ten minutes drive of downtown Kent. Depending on interest, you can enjoy the falls from the bottom, take the beautiful climb to the top, or tack on a short hike back through the woods. The park is small in size and a very low time commitment, with an outsized bang for your buck. You can easily see the falls in 10-15 minutes and be on your way.
Macedonia Brook State Park is within a ten minute drive of downtown Kent. There are plenty of hikes to choose from!
Bull's Bridge is one of two covered bridges in Connecticut that is still operational & used for vehicles. Originally constructed in the 1700s, the current version dates back to 1842. Take a self guided leaf-peeping tour & make sure you drive through! Please keep in mind that this is a one-lane bridge.
Excellent bar and food. This was one of Joe's first jobs after college - he worked here on the opening night!
The Fife is a Kent classic, and an excellent place to get a good dinner with a live pianist on many nights.
Swift is one of the more elevated options in town; it was founded by an alum of Noma in Denmark and Gramercy Tavern in New York.
A very cool coffee shop with excellent drinks, pastries, and lunches.
Get some fancy cheese, bougie treats, or excellent sandwiches.
Kent has numerous antique stores, art galleries, and boutiques, all right off Main Street, including the area off Main Street known as "the Barns". Some of our favorites include Terston's (women's clothing and home goods), House of Books, and RT Facts (design and antiques). There are too many art galleries to name, but a list can be found at the above link to the Chamber of Commerce website.
