We had two classes together our first semester at Luther. We sat near each other in our English class, but rarely spoke. Our love story didn't start until the following year. But when it began, there was no looking back. From trips to the library or Don Jose's to adventures with friends, we absolutely loved our time together in Decorah. We knew we found our other half and worked through everything that came our way. After spending 3 years joined at the hip at Luther, we spent the first year after graduation apart with Kole in Rochester and Ashley in Ames. But that didn't last long, we quickly realized a distance relationship was not for us. With Ashley in veterinary school, the only option was for Kole to move to her. So for the next 3 years Kole likes to think that "WE" went to veterinary school and "WE" graduated together. After graduation we bought a house together and added a new furry friend to our home.

Ashley and Kole have a typical hike they like to do when they go back to visit his family in Minnesota. The day before taking off for Minnesota the largest snowstorm of the year hit, so that foiled Kole's original plan. However, he was still determined to propose. He worked all week on the perfect surprise and pulled off a hide and seek challenge with notes hidden around the house to express his love, memories, and future plans he had with the girl of his dreams! With their two fur babies as their witness, Ashley said yes. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you and cannot wait to see you!
