Question

Should I stay in Rennes or Combourg for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding venue is in a rural old village 30 minutes north of Rennes. If you plan to do sight-seeing around Brittany, this village is a good starting point to see things like Mont St Michel, Dinan, Saint-Malo, etc. You can rent a car from Rennes and the parking here is easier. BUT....If you are looking for a European city experience, we recommend staying in Old Town Rennes. We LOVE it! This is the city that JP's father grew up in and many of his family still live here. You can walk to restaurants, shopping and sights. We are planning to organize transportation to the venue.

Should I buy first class tickets on the high speed train?

Either way, the trains in France are impressive relative to the American variety and typically a great experience.
