Reception at Akwaaba

2:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Cocktail dress. You're welcome (but not required) to dress for the Harlem Renaissance theme! Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Reception will begin immediately after the ceremony. There will be live music, dancing, performances, games, and food throughout the celebration. Buffet with poultry, pork, and vegan options provided by Peaches (a local soul food restaurant and one of the couple's favorite) There's an outdoor space with a tent and we expect warm sunny weather, but NY often surprises with late summer showers!
