A few travel tips for our out-of-towner guests!

Flight

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines offers a direct flight between Seattle and Singapore starting 2019.

Flight

EVA Air

EVA Air transits through Taiwan and offers affordable flight options.

Travel Note

Hotels & Accommodation

Hotel and rental accommodations are plentiful in Singapore so you should have no trouble finding lodging within your price range. Websites like Tripadvisor.com or Expedia.com will be the most useful in helping you decide which areas may fit your needs best. We suggest staying near Orchard Road (downtown) or Clark/Boat Quay (riverside) if you would like to be close to the city. However, if you prefer to stay in one of the historical cultural districts, we suggest looking at Little India, Bugis/Arab Street, or Chinatown.

Train

MRT

The MRT is the most convenient and affordable means of transportation around the island. Buy a multi-trip pass (ez-link card) at any train station or 7-11 store, and grab a pocket map from the control station located next to every exit. Tip: The ez-link card is refundable (except for a $5 service fee) and acts as your method of payment for most public transport. It saves you a few cents on bus/trains and can also be used as a debit card at some stores!

Travel Note

Internet and Wifi

Out of town guests may want to purchase a wifi hotspot from the airport to ensure easier telecommunication and internet accessibility while in town.
