Question

When Should I RSVP

Answer

To help us with our planning please RSVP to events as soon as possible. However, the deadline is January 10th 2025. If we don't receive your RSVP by this date, we cannot make exceptions and will have to mark you as 'no'. We need to provide the venue with total guest count in a timely manner, we hope you can understand!

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes! Our room block is at the Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District. Please see the travel page for more details

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during ceremony as we would like you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, Yes! Please feel free to take as many photos as you like!

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding is indoor/ outdoor all at the same location. If we have any weather issues we will be tenting all outdoor spaces.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

We have 1 venue, both ceremony and reception will happen at the William Aiken House on King Street. The best way to get to this venue is to walk from your Hotel or Airbnb, or to Uber as this street is blocked off from cars at night because it is a active night life street.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, both ceremony and reception will be outside. Please make sure you dress appropriately. We will have heaters and accommodations.

Is the wedding kid friendly?

Answer

As much as we love your kids, we kindly ask that our wedding be adult only. We hope you understand and we are happy to help find childcare for our of town guests of your kids come for the weekend!

Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

Yes, but the options are pay lots and garages. There is overnight options but if you think you might leave your car, it would be best to Uber. Ubers are easy to get in downtown late into the evening.

What's the weather like in Feburary in Charleston

Answer

February is mildly cold and relatively dry in South Carolina. However, the days see warm sunshine, with average temperatures in the 47°F to 63°F range.
